'You are my stars.' is a Free UT Fanzine that highlights the Sanscest ship 'Cherryberry' (Underfell Sans and Underswap Sans). A passion project dedicated to creating a Zine centered around the sanscest ship called 'Cherryberry'. The zine welcomed all artists and writers who applied, regardless of shipping preferences or creative skill level.Our goal was to bring people together to create a free digital Zine for everyone to enjoy, with a separation between SFW and NSFW so that no matter who you are or what you like, you can find something to enjoy in our Zine!Check out our Download page for links to the free PDFs.Check out our Moderator page for information about who is behind the project!

Dates and Timeline

All dates have been planned in several week intervals for the ease of participation for artists and writers with jobs, college, family, etc.We want all participants to feel comfortable and not rushed to complete a final submission, however you will be free to work ahead of the deadlines and submit concept check-ins early.

Can I submit both art and fanfic?
Yes! We are accepting multiple submissions.Can I submit older art and/or fanfic I have already made?
Unless your piece happens to fit the required submission size, you will need to draw/write something new! You're free to talk to the mods about this within the zine server.Do I have to keep my submission to the zine a secret until the zine is released?
Yes, you (and your beta reader, if applicable) will be required to maintain secrecy about your submission. We ask that you do not share WIPs or livestream the process outside of the dedicated zine server. However, after the zine is completed, you are free to post your submission anywhere you want to, without restriction.Will we be allowed to submit 'Original Characters' or custom versions of Red/Blue?
This will be looked at on a case by case basis if the only change is clothing design. Generally speaking, we will not be allowing OC submissions. Cherryberry-Kids (OC Children) will be looked at on a case-by-case basis and depend on the actual concept for your drawing or fanfiction, so they might be approved. Please ask if you aren't sure!Can we submit art/fanfic of other characters like Edge or Stretch?
We'd like to keep the theme of the zine to just Red and Blue. For artists, additional characters can be in the background if they're supporting Red/Blue but other ships or pairings shouldn't be highlighted here. Fanfiction writers are allowed to write in whoever they need for interactions, plot, story, lore, etc. as long as the focus remains on Red and Blue. Moderators reserve the right to approve or deny a concept and provide alternative suggestions if the piece does not align with the theme of the zine.Will poly-relationships be accepted into the zine?
Similar to above, we'd like to keep the focus on Red and Blue as much as possible. We will be accepting ideas based on the twins trope (Ex: 2 Reds shown with 1 Blue).What if someone has the same idea as me?
Hopefully, this won't be an issue! We are allowing a lot of creative freedom with the submissions. We will be doing a first come, first serve order for idea claims. If your idea is claimed by someone else, we are happy to work with you to figure out a backup idea that is available.Some idea overlap will be allowed. (Ex: two participants who want to do a proposal scene, one participant can claim Red proposing to Blue with traditional wedding rings while another participant can claim Blue proposing to Red, maybe in a monster soul offering or another fitting headcanon!)The Discord server will also include a dedicated channel with ideas that you can claim if you are unable to come up with anything on your own.For Authors: What are the word count requirements?
Currently, we are looking to have writers adhere to these guidelines:Minimum Word Count (PDF and Potential Print) – 1kMaximum Word Count (PDF): ~3k to 5k, you are allowed to go slightly over the word count (Ex: 5,200 words will be accepted).Maximum Word Count (Potential Print): ~2k wordsFor Authors: Do writers need to have a beta reader ready to go when they apply?
We recommend that you continue to use the beta reader you already work with. If you do not have one, or your beta reader is unable to assist you and you cannot find a replacement in a timely manner, we’ll find you a beta reader inside the server. It will be another participant or a Mod who volunteers to beta for you.Please note that beta readers who are not part of the zine server are still expected to not share information about your WIPs or submissions until after the zine is completed.For Artists: What size will I need to draw in?
All submissions will be drawn in the standardized A5 format (5-7/8inches x 8-1/4inches or 148mm x 210mm) with a resolution of at least 400, ideally 600. Please be sure your computer can handle drawing at these specifications prior to applying. You will need to color in a CMYK format or ensure that your RGB color palette translates into CMYK with minimal discoloration.Alternatively, plan to collaborate with another artist who has the hardware to line and color at this resolution. You do not have to fill the entire A5 canvas edge to edge, but your drawing should be a good size and have balanced composition. Backgrounds are optional.

Participant Questions & Answers

Do I need to be 18 years or older to participate?
Yes, we require that all participants be 18 years or older to participate in the zine. The Mods reserve the right to request a Photo-ID Check if you are suspected of being underage. However, we will not be ID Checking everyone who participates in the SFW Zine. We will only ID those who might be underage, to ensure the safety of everyone involved in the project.If you plan to participate in the NSFW zine, a Photo-ID Check is mandatory and will be completed over Discord before you are given access to the NSFW channels.Can I participate even if I don't ship Cherryberry?
You can! We will be accepting art of Red and Blue together in a platonic theme. They don't even need to be close to one another, you can draw them just enjoying ice cream together if you want.Can I participate even if I'm new to drawing/writing?
We will be giving every applicant a chance to participate, regardless of skill level. You will be surrounded by other artists and writers who can offer critique and feedback to ensure the best possible final product.Do I need to already have an idea for my art/writing when I apply for the zine?
Nope! However, if you do have an idea already, you will be able to claim your idea inside the zine server as soon as you join. All participants will be asked to have their concept checked-in by April 26th.Oh no! Someone I really don't get along with is joining the zine! What do I do?!
Discord will let you co-exist with users you have blocked when you are both in the same server together. It will be your responsibility to avoid opening messages that Discord censors for you from blocked users. We advise that you apply if you really want to participate, curate your own space, be responsible, be safe, and please feel free to withdraw from the zine if you are truly uncomfortable in sharing a space with certain people.
